A Study of Life Events in Stress and Adaptation Behaviors of Nursing Students


Abstract
To provide this data 310 students from 1 to 3rd grades of S Junior College of Nursing were answered. The data were collected by questionnaits from May. 11 till May. 28, 1987. This results of a study were as follow.
1. Short-term adaptation in methods employed by nursing students were, 0.843, while long-term. in methods
were 1,228.
2. There was significant difference on short-term adapation behaviors in relationship with health status (p<.05). There was significant difference on long-term adaptation behaviors in relationship with ages,
grades of nursing students, religion, health and economic status, parents, residence (p>.05, p< 01). In this aspects, the 1 hypothesis was partially accepted.
3. There was significant difference on adaptation behaviors in relationship with the number of stressful events which is between 0 to 10, between 11 to 20, between 31 to 40 (p<.01). In this aspect, tae 2 hypothesis was partially accepted.
